All That Glitters

They say Diamonds are a girls best friend, and this may be true. Although most diamonds rings in Hollywood will often last longer than any marriage, the truth is to own something so beautiful is a dream that most women will have. From earrings to pendants to rings there really is something for everyone. 

Today I was flicking through Vogue and came across a beautiful pendant very expensive but beautiful and I realised the model (gorgeous Christy Turlington) was the reason I was so in love. The photography was so simple and the necklace spoke for itself.

Diamonds are the most luxury item that we can buy and they can be used in so many ways, it is what makes them so unique. Celebrity go to Jewellery superstar Lorraine Schwartz. She is a classic example of taking something ordinary and making it extordinary. Her jewels have been worn by everyone from Kim Kardashian to Natalie Portman to Beyonce and at every major Red Carpet event from the Oscars to the Grammys to the Met Gala, and I really can see why, her jewellery collections are some of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I wouldn't mind someone putting a ring on it with something like this... Great choice by Jay Z, Beyonce is clearly a lucky lady

Also I couldn't discuss diamonds without taking about Tiffany, their jewellery is simply stunning and I am reminded of when Trey proposed to Charlotte York right outside their window in New York in Sex and the City. I can't imagine any women turning down a little blue box from Tiffany. It will be something that will sparkle forever and ever... Oscar winning actress Kate Winslet surely prove that with her Tiffany Pendant at the 2011 Oscars.

Finally the queen of bling Elizabath Taylor had every piece of jewelery imaginable including eight engagement rings. She could of given The Queen and her Crown Jewels a run for their money. After her death her jewellery was put up from auction and this is one of the most beautiful and amazing Emerald necklaces ever seen.

Even Angelina took inspiration from the fashion icon by adding gorgeous Green drop earrings to a her Black Armani dress for the Golden Globes. They clearly add the right amount of sparkle to Mrs Brad Pitts outfit. You can never go wrong taking tips from Angelina Jolie and Elizabeth Taylor, maybe not marriage advice from the latter.

Finally investing in jewellery is a big deal and the best advice I could give you is buy something you will love forever and wear forever. It will definately make the expense worth it and guys if your buying your lady a piece of jewellery at least look at what she likes and do your research, you'll thank me in the end!!!
