You can say what you want about this ex-spice girl but you have got to admit that the girl done good. Victoria Beckham has brought her knowledge of fashion into the industry and turned it to her advantage and created a collection of amazing iconic dresses and looks, that everyone wants to wear. When I first heard that Victoria Beckham was going to be designing her own clothes I was excited to see what she would come up with. However the industry thought that it would never work and happily she proved them all to be very wrong. Her love and knowledge of the fashion industry shines through and she has created styles that women want to wear. Even Celebrities were queueing up to wear her designs and everyone who wore them looked fabulous.
After the success of her first collection, Mrs Beckham continued to work hard and create collection after collection that highlighted her evolution within the fast paced and ever changing fashion industry. She proved time and time again that her love of fashion and understanding of what women want to wear made her collections successful and instant sellers when they hit stores. Even the fashion industry had to admit that Victoria Beckham knew what she was doing.
The momentum of her work continued and with the number of her own designs that she wore, Mrs Beckham and her talents were never far from the lights of the press. She was the ultimate clothes horse for her own clothing, is there a better form of advertising? After that celebrities, friends and real women couldn't wait to get their hands on one of her designs and this became the ultimate endorsement for her clothing and sales soared. Her collections showed a flair for dressing the female body, great use of colours and influences from her own personal style by creating a number of tailored and red carpet looks, perfect for the Hollywood A List. Even her old friends got in on the act wearing Victoria Beckhams designs to major events.
Victoria Beckhams last few collection have been some of my favourites from New York Fashion Week and they have been copied on the high street. However I believe that her clothing is an investment for the future and an endorsement of British Design, even though Mrs Beckham no longer lives on our shores. I think she is a very talented women and I admire her skills as a designer and a stylist, who else could make her models look so cool? She always looks amazing and she has proved everyone in the industry wrong who said her collection would never work and for that I admire her. I also admire that she is a mother, a wife and a fashion icon. You have to admit no one would of imagined that she would of been so successful after her singing career but she has taken something she is passionate about and turned it into a career in which she is respected and very talented. That is something to be admired and I know that I believe she is a true inspiration!!!
In my eyes Victoria Beckham can do no wrong and I know no wardrobe is complete without at least one or two of her designs whether it be a dress, handbag or a life size cut out of David Beckham. Check out Net a Porter, Harvey Nichols or Harrods for her designs...
